Here’s a great trailer for a film-in-progress about wooden sloops in the West Indies.  Thanks to Dan Brayton for finding this one.

Thanks for putting this up, Steve. The production values in this trailer are high– amazing cinematography. This will be a gorgeous film, and I’m hoping to schedule a screening at Middlebury next year.

As I recall, one of our fellow participants wrote a fascinating paper for your last salty Shakespeare seminar, in Bermuda, on the “Shakespear’ Mas” of. . . was it Carriacou? Clearly the Grenadines have a rich cultural heritage.

That was my old rogue buddy Craig Dionne. Yes, clearly an academic conference down in the southerly isles is in order.

Hello, We really appreciate your interest in the film!
If anyone out there would like to support Vanishing Sail, we have just launched a kickstarter campaign to raise funds for it’s completion. There are some great rewards offered in return for pledges, including a chance to sail with us in the Antigua Classics next week and St. Barths West Indies Regatta.

May the wind always blow from the aft quarter,
    Alexis
